Crochet Market Bag 4 Week Series - April

**This is a 4 Week Series**

Create a beautiful, handmade bag you’ll actually use. In this 4-week intensive, you'll learn the fundamentals of crochet while making your own reusable market tote from start to finish. Beginner crocheters are welcome.

What You'll Learn 

Week 1: Learn the foundations of crochet including how to hold your hook and yarn, create a slip knot, and work the basic stitches used to build your tote. You'll begin the base of the bag.

Week 2: Continue building the body of your tote while learning how to keep your tension consistent and shape your project so it grows evenly.

Week 3: Learn how to create the mesh or open stitch structure that gives market totes their stretch and flexibility while continuing to build the bag.

Week 4: Finish your tote by creating sturdy handles or a strap and learning how to properly fasten off and weave in ends so your bag is durable and ready to use.

What's Included

All materials are provided for the first class, including yarn, crochet hook, and a tapestry needle. In week 2 all designing materials are included and you'll receive guidance on selecting yarn colors for your final piece. Week 3 you will need to bring your own yarn to work on your final piece. After week 4 you will leave with your finished bag, a guide, and your custom pattern to use for future projects.

Who This Is For

This intensive is for anyone curious about crochet. If you've crocheted before you'll catch on quickly. If you're a beginner, you'll get extra guidance and support. This is a great class for anyone who wants to create a practical, handmade item they'll use again and again.

All supplies and tools are included, and no previous experience is necessary.

Some workshops may involve heat, sharp tools, or other specialty materials, so participants must be 18 or older unless the class notes otherwise.

Classes have limited availability. If a session is full, you can join the waitlist, but openings are not guaranteed.
