Create a textile self-portrait using fabric collage, embroidery, and mixed-media techniques. You'll translate your  personality into fiber and build a small portrait that combines technical skill with personal expression.

What You'll Learn You'll practice appliqué techniques, hand embroidery for details, and compositional choices in portrait work. By the end, you'll have a completed fabric self-portrait.

What's Included All materials are provided, including fabric, thread, embroidery floss, a hoop, and embellishments. You'll take home your finished portrait.

Who This Is For This workshop welcomes all skill levels, including absolute beginners. Perfect for fiber artists, anyone interested in portraiture, or those looking to create deeply personal textile work.

Additional Information: All supplies and tools are included, and no previous experience is necessary. Participants must be 18 or older unless the class notes otherwise. Classes have limited availability. If a session is full, you can join the waitlist, but openings are not guaranteed. Tickets cannot be refunded or canceled. If you're unable to attend, please reach out to arrange a make-up class on a future date. We may take photos or short videos during workshops for marketing and social media. Signing up means you agree to let The MixMatch use images of you unless you notify us otherwise.

Cancellation Policy

All class sales are final. If you cannot attend your scheduled class, you may exchange your registration for another class of equal value, or choose a class of higher value by paying the difference. Exchanges must be made within 30 days of the original class date.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. Made-to-order items are not eligible for returns. Due to the nature of classes and workshops, once you have placed your order, all sales are final and no refunds will be issued.
