Create a handmade dinnerware set from clay. In this four-week series, you'll learn foundational handbuilding techniques while crafting a cohesive collection of functional pottery.

What You'll Learn

Over the course of four weeks, you'll learn core handbuilding techniques while creating four separate pieces that come together as a cohesive dinnerware set. Each session focuses on a different item, allowing you to practice new skills while gradually building a functional collection of handmade ceramics.

What's Included

All clay, tools, glazes, and firings are included. You'll receive guidance at every stage and leave with a collection of finished, glazed pieces from across all four sessions. Once your work has completed its final firing, you'll be notified when it's ready for pickup, or you can arrange shipping during the final class.

Who This Is For

This intensive is for anyone who wants a real, structured introduction to handbuilding rather than a one-time sampler. No experience is required. Perfect if you want to walk away with both finished work and a foundation you can build on.

What to Wear

Wear clothing and shoes you're comfortable getting clay and water on. Aprons are provided, but clay has a way of finding everything anyway.

 

Keep Throwing: Studio Membership

Completing any pottery class makes you eligible to join The MixMatch as a studio member, giving you access to our wheels, tools, and kiln time on your own schedule. It's the natural next step for anyone who wants to keep building their skills between classes. Ask your instructor or the front desk for details on how to get started.

 

Additional Information: All supplies and tools are included, and no previous experience is necessary. Some workshops may involve heat, sharp tools, or other specialty materials, so participants must be 18 or older unless the class notes otherwise.

Classes have limited availability. If a session is full, you can join the waitlist, but openings are not guaranteed. Tickets cannot be refunded, canceled, or rescheduled. If you're unable to attend, please reach out to us via email at hello@themixmatchfw.com

We may take photos or short videos during workshops for marketing and social media. Signing up means you agree to let The MixMatch use images of you unless you notify us otherwise.

Cancellation Policy

All class sales are final. Classes, workshops, and event tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged. If you cannot attend your scheduled class, please email the studio at hello@themixmatchfw.com

Returns & Refunds

We have a 30-day return policy on retail products (not classes, workshops, or events), which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. Made-to-order items are not eligible for returns.

Due to the nature of classes and workshops, once you have placed your order, all sales are final and no refunds will be issued.
