The MixMatch Afterschool Programs provide hands-on experiences in art, ceramics, sewing, and creative making in a welcoming studio environment where students build skills, confidence, and lasting friendships.
Whether your child is discovering a new hobby or expanding an existing passion, our semester-based programs encourage creativity through guided projects, individualized instruction, and plenty of opportunities for self-expression.

Craft Exploration- Mondays
- Ages 5-9: 4:00pm-4:45pm ($120/ month)
- Ages 10-16 5:15pm-6:30pm ($170/month)
Sewing- Tuesdays
- Ages 10-16 5:15pm-6:30pm ($170/month)
Ceramics- Wednesdays
- Ages 5-9: 4:00pm-4:45pm ($120/ month)
- Ages 10-16 5:15pm-6:30pm ($170/month)
All programs have a one-time registration fee of $50.
Tution can be paid in full or monthly.

Craft Exploration
Ages 5-9
Perfect for curious young makers, this program introduces students to a different creative discipline throughout the semester.
Students may explore:
- Paper arts
- Printmaking
- Sculpture
- Fiber arts
- Mixed media
- Nature-inspired projects
- Seasonal crafts
Ages 10-16
Designed for older students who love trying new things, Craft Exploration encourages experimentation across multiple artistic disciplines while helping students discover their own creative style.
Students may explore:

- Bookbinding
- Jewelry making
- Painting
- Mixed media
- Surface design
- Cultural and seasonal projects
Projects change each semester, making the program a great fit for both new and returning students.

Sewing
Our Sewing Club teaches practical skills through fun, hands-on projects. Students learn to safely operate sewing machines, understand construction techniques, and create projects they can use and enjoy.
Students learn:
- Sewing machine safety
- Hand sewing
- Fabric selection
- Measuring and cutting
- Pattern reading
- Garment and accessory construction
- Creative design techniques
Whether your student is a complete beginner or already enjoys sewing, they'll receive guidance appropriate to their experience.

Ceramics
Young artists explore the exciting world of clay through imaginative handbuilding projects inspired by nature, stories, animals, and everyday life. Students learn foundational ceramic techniques while strengthening fine motor skills, creativity, and confidence.
Students explore:
- Pinch pots
- Coil building
- Slab construction
- Clay sculpture
- Texture and surface design
- Creative storytelling through clay
Ages 10-16
Older students develop technical ceramic skills while exploring both functional pottery and sculptural work. Returning students continue building on previous experience with more advanced projects and creative challenges.
Students learn:
- Handbuilding techniques
- Wheel throwing (when appropriate)
- Functional pottery
- Sculpture
- Surface decoration
- Glazing techniques
- Studio safety and care

What ages can attend after school?
There are programs for students 5-16 year old.

Do students need any craft experience?
No experience is needed. Projects are beginner-friendly but still engaging for more experienced makers. As they grow throughout the semester, they will gain skills and knowledge to allow them to complete more complex projects.

Can my child attend multiple program days?
Yes! We also offer an automatic discount for students enrolled in 2 or more programs.

What should my student bring?
All supplies are included but students are welcome to bring a small snack and water bottle.

What should students wear?
Creating can get messy. Students should wear clothes parents are comfortable getting paint, clay, or glue on.
Closed-toe shoes are recommended for safety.
