In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to make simple clothing repairs, adjust hems, and mend small holes or worn areas by hand. 

What You'll Learn

You'll explore essential hand-sewing techniques, including threading a needle, securing knots, and choosing the right stitch for different repairs. We'll cover basic hemming methods, how to repair small holes and tears, and techniques for making mends that are both functional and intentional. Your instructor will demonstrate each technique and guide you through practicing your new skills.

What's Included

All practice materials, needles, and thread are provided. Please bring one piece of clothing that needs a simple hem or a small repair so you can practice your new skills on a garment of your own. Choose something with a straightforward fix, such as a loose hem, a small hole, or a minor tear.

Who This Is For

This workshop is perfect for beginners and anyone who wants to feel more confident caring for their clothes. No sewing experience is necessary. Learn to repair, refresh, and keep wearing the pieces you love instead of setting them aside because of a small tear or an unfinished hem.

 

Additional Information: All classes include a $10 supply fee. This is already included in the ticket price. Some workshops may involve heat, sharp tools, or other specialty materials, so participants must be 18 or older unless the class notes otherwise.Classes have limited availability. If a session is full, you can join the waitlist, but openings are not guaranteed.Tickets cannot be refunded, canceled, or rescheduled. We have a 30-day return policy on retail products (not classes, workshops, or events), which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. Made-to-order items are not eligible for returns.
