Learn the fundamentals of working with sterling silver while creating your own gemstone cabochon ring. In this hands-on metalsmithing workshop, you’ll work with sheet metal to shape, texture, and finish a one-of-a-kind ring featuring a gemstone cabochon of your choice.

You’ll learn foundational techniques for working with sheet metal, including cutting, shaping, texturing, and finishing. You’ll also learn how to build your ring around a cabochon and bring the different elements together to create a finished piece of wearable jewelry.

Choose from a selection of gemstone cabochons to find one that fits your personal style, then customize the shape and finish of your ring to make it uniquely yours.

What You’ll Make

Each participant will create one sterling silver gemstone cabochon ring. You’ll choose your own gemstone cabochon and have the opportunity to customize the shape, texture, and finish of your ring.

Who This Is For

This workshop is designed for anyone interested in learning the fundamentals of metalsmithing and creating handmade jewelry. No previous metalsmithing experience is required. It’s a beginner-friendly introduction to working with sheet metal, gemstones, and the tools and techniques used to create a finished piece of jewelry.

Additional Information: All classes include a $10 supply fee. This is already included in the ticket price. Some workshops may involve heat, sharp tools, or other specialty materials, so participants must be 18 or older unless the class notes otherwise.Classes have limited availability. If a session is full, you can join the waitlist, but openings are not guaranteed.Tickets cannot be refunded, canceled, or rescheduled.
