Get ready for homecoming season and learn how to create a custom mum from start to finish, taught by an experienced homecoming mum craft artist.

In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to assemble the foundation of a homecoming mum, layer your ribbons and decorations, and create a military braid using ribbon. Whether you’re making a mum for yourself or someone special, you’ll leave with the skills to create a personalized homecoming tradition.

Your class registration includes:

  • Instruction from a homecoming mum craft artist
  • Instruction on how to assemble a homecoming mum
  • Instruction on how to make a military braid
  • A guide to use for planning and assembly
  • Basic colored ribbons to use when assembling your mum
  • Ribbon specifically for making your military braid
  • One mum flower

Customize Your Mum

You’ll also have the opportunity to shop our Mum Closet for additional ribbons, trims, and embellishments to make your mum your own. 

We encourage you to bring your own special touches, including:

  • School-colored or specialty ribbons
  • Stickers
  • Charms and trinkets
  • Lights
  • A teddy bear
  • Photos or personal mementos
  • Letters, signs, or other decorations

Mix and match materials from home with pieces from our Mum Closet to create a mum that is completely unique.

Please note: Basic colored ribbon, military braid ribbon, and one mum flower are included with registration. Additional decorative materials from the Mum Closet are available for purchase.

 

Additional Information: All classes include a $10 supply fee. This is already included in the ticket price. Some workshops may involve heat, sharp tools, or other specialty materials, so participants must be 18 or older unless the class notes otherwise.Classes have limited availability. If a session is full, you can join the waitlist, but openings are not guaranteed.Tickets cannot be refunded, canceled, or rescheduled. If you're unable to attend, please reach out to us via email at hello@themixmatchfw.com. We may take photos or short videos during workshops for marketing and social media. Signing up means you agree to let The MixMatch use images of you unless you notify us otherwise.

Cancellation Policy

All class sales are final. Classes, workshops, and event tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged. If you cannot attend your scheduled class, please email the studio at hello@themixmatchfw.com

All orders are processed within 10-14 business days. Please note that custom or made-to-order items may require additional processing time, which will be noted in the product description.

Returns & Refunds

We have a 30-day return policy on retail products (not classes, workshops, or events), which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. Made-to-order items are not eligible for returns.

Due to the nature of classes and workshops, once you have placed your order, all sales are final and no refunds will be issued.
